“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
Knowing that you are of God and that God’s mandate of dominion is on your life, someone may ask, how do I dominate in practical terms? You see, to fulfil the mandate of dominion in practical terms, you must always acknowledge that there is the divine nature in you. You will then begin to feed that nature in you. You are aware that Jesus Himself grew, increasing in stature, and favour with God and with man because He gave attention to feeding the seed of God in Him. The many–sidedness of God’s wisdom was expressed through Him. How did this happen? Morning by morning, He heard from the Father as the learned, feeding the God–nature in Him daily. It is not enough to be born of God and have the seed of God in you. You have to feed that seed unto strength and maturity. Dominion is for mature sons and daughters of God who have developed their God–nature to discern the blessings of redemption which God has freely given to them in Christ. There is skill and dexterity involved in exercising dominion. You must feed your born–again spirit with God’s Word unto maturity.
There are principles of dominion set forth in the Word that every child of God must master. Mastery of these dominion principles is mastery of life. In feeding your spirit with the Word unto maturity, these principles are mastered. The principles of dominion include faith, love, discipline, identity, vision, wisdom, etc. As you grow in the Lord, you will have rounded understanding of these principles. As you feed upon the Word, you gain mastery of life’s challenges. You become skilled on how to use your dominion ─ you know how to exercise your authority. You know what to do, when do it and how to do it. It is important to know that feeding on the Word entails meditating in the Word and acting upon it. When you meditate in the Word, the potential of dominion is activated within you, and when you act on the Word in your spirit, you give expression to dominion.
My Solid Front (Confession):
I acknowledge that I have the nature of God in me for dominion, therefore, I grow that seed of God in me until it reaches its fullest expression in wisdom and insights. I feed my spirit with God’s Word so much so, that I manifest divine life with ease. Therefore, my world is blessed because of the outworking of God’s grace in my life. I declare that challenges and problems bow to the wisdom of God at work in me. I am in dominion and I express it in Jesus’ Name.
