1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
1When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.
When God’s manifest Presence is in a place, awesome things take place. Today’s opening Scripture shows us that when the children of Israel left Egypt, God’s manifest Presence was among them, and as a result, the sea parted before them, Jordan was driven back before them, the mountains and the little hills skipped before them. Notice that they did not have to pray that the mountains should skip like rams, and the little hills like lambs; they moved of their own accordas the Israelites were led by the pillar of cloud and of fire of God’s glory. This is because there are some things that the Presence of God takes care of even without prayer. Acts 12:10 tells us that the iron gate that led to the city opened of its own accord to Peter and the angel that led him; they didn’t have to pray or say a word to the gate before it opened up. That angel came from the Presence of God; and that was what the gate responded to. Beloved, circumstances and situations will respond to you effortlessly as you allow the Presence of God permeate your life and being. The Presence of God commands results effortlessly; it is the master key that opens all doors. The Presence of God with Joseph caused him to prosper in his master’s house, even as a slave boy (Genesis 39:2), and the same Presence prospered him in prison, and he had favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21). The Presence of God was with the Lord Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry and caused mighty miracles to happen by His hands (Acts 10:38). Beloved, everything you require for life and godliness is in the Presence of the Lord, for in His Presence there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand, pleasures forevermore. God’s Presence is full of wonders. Therefore, be a good steward of God’s Presence and you will experience the wonders of His presence.
