December 31: The Revelation of the Father

John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him

John 10:30

I and my Father are one.

The Father God is not hidden from us. He has revealed Himself to us. The Word mirrors Him to us. We know Him by His Word. We are told that He is what His Word says He is. He is one with the Word; the Word and the Father are one (John 10:30). Jesus is the living Word, and He is the Word made flesh. We know the Father as He is by the Word. We do not know Him apart from the Word. The Word truly and verily reveals Him. We take the Father for what the Word says He is, for no one else knows Him as the Word. The Word is the light of the Father. Our opening verse tells us that no man has seen God at any time, but the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father has declared, revealed, unveiled and manifested Him. The Word then is our sure light of the Father God. Every time we meditate in the Word, we visit with the Father. How else can He be revealed other than through the Word? No other way but by the Word. The Lord Jesus Christ, the living Word, tells us in John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man can come to the Father but by Him. The Word is the Way to the Father, it is the Truth about the Father, and it is the life of the Father. Hallelujah!!!

Knowing the Father through the Word requires fellowshipping with the Word. Our fellowship is with the Father through His Son, the living Word. When we embrace the Word as the Father’s absolute revelation of Himself, and begin to walk in the light of it, we suddenly realize that the Father is made manifest in the Word. We do not seek a revelation of the Father apart from the Word. Therefore, we meditate in the Word, and walk in the light of it, as we practise the Word. We walk in the light of the Word as He is in the light, and have fellowship with the Father (1 John 1:7). Beloved, settle down with the Word, and give absolute attention to the Word, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Everything the Word reveals to you, that is who the Father is.

My Solid Front (Confession):

In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, heavenly Father, I thank You that I can know you intimately by your Word. Your Word reveals You to me, and I truly can take You for what the Word says You are. Amen.
