In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
God and His Word are one. So, when God speaks, the Word has spoken; and when we hear the Word, God has spoken to us. The Word is God speaking to us. Many believers miss out on hearing God daily because they are waiting for an audible voice of the Spirit, instead of receiving the Written Word as God’s voice to them indeed. They ignore the Written Word but search deeply and intently for the voice of God. They are ignorant of the truth, they do not know that the Word is God speaking to them. The fact is, prophets of old received the mind of God by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and spoke it out as prophecies; the voice of God, which in turn was written or documented for our admonition. The Written Word, therefore, is God’s inspired utterance, God’s voice, written or documented for our admonition
When you meditate in the Written Word, that’s a visit with God, that’s fellowship with God, that’s having a rapport with God; heart-to-heart, person-to-person. You cannot miss out on God’s voice meditating in the Word. No! God and His Word are one. There is a renewed perspective to viewing the Written Word, which is that it is the voice of God speaking to us in written form. That it is written does not make it any less the voice of the Almighty God. When you start seeing God’s word as such, then you have arrived in the things of God. You have come to the place of hearing God daily for yourself. You have broken the barrier of sense knowledge of the Word and can now see clearly into the realm of reality. Beloved, the form in which God’s word comes to you does not remove anything from the Word being what it is. God’s Word is potent, its form notwithstanding. The Spoken word, the voice of God given by the Spirit of God, is as potent as the Written Word, for all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, either spoken or written. You can hear God’s voice deep within your spirit as you put the Word into use by meditation. As you meditate in the Written Word, you will hear the voice of God in it.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I give attention to the Written Word to meditate in it day and night, until the Word is formed in me; for I believe that the Word is God speaking to me. Hallelujah! Amen!
