March 25: Exploring the Power of Meditation

1 Timothy 4:15

“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”

Joshua 1:8

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Meditation is an ancient art of great men who lived in time but had an eternal perspective to life. Meditation is the secret of ploughing the inner man to stir up deep creative thoughts and true spirituality. The inner man can be cultivated to think rich thoughts and to only accept noble thoughts through meditation. Through meditation, you can transcend realms and generations into glories yet unborn, which will be birthed. This is the scriptural way to be a huge success in no time.

After the death of Moses, God spoke to Joshua to meditate consistently on the Word that he might observe to act upon it, that he might make his way prosperous and that he might have good success (Joshua 1:8). This account is revealing of the fact that meditation is the art of setting the mind on God’s Word to understand it and to do it, which in turn brings prosperity and good success. Amazing, isn’t it? Through meditation in the Word, you access the wisdom of God to make your life prosperous. You explore the realm divine to find treasures to embellish your life for glory and splendor.

Meditation is speaking the Word to yourself and thinking upon it deeply enough to engage your mind until your eyes of understanding can see what God is saying to you. This is what it means to meditate on the Word. Beloved, the Word of God becomes wisdom unto you and activates in you the mind of Christ as you meditate upon it. You and yours are totally upgraded as you meditate on the Word. God’s Word gives you the edge in life, and meditation is your access to it.

My Solid Front (Confession): Heavenly Father, I thank You for showing me the importance of meditation. I declare in the Name of Jesus that I give heed to Your Word via meditation and that I am a doer of the Word. Amen.

Further Meditation: Philippians 4:8-9; Psalms 119:99-104.
