“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”
“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”
There are levels in the experience of the grace of God. The salvation grace is the first dimension or level of grace that we experience when we get saved (Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11). However, that is not all there is to enjoy about grace; the Bible shows us that there is more. When we stepped into Christ, we actually stepped into the fullness of grace; however, our experience of grace comes only by knowledge.
We are to understand and know the grace we have stepped into in the process of time. For example, when a person is admitted into a University, they have stepped into the school of a body of knowledge; however, such a person would still have to go through all the required levels of learning to actually get certified and to graduate from the University.
Our opening Scripture in 2 Peter 3:18 shows us that we can grow in grace, the same way we grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This means that there’s room for more. James 4:6 tells us that God gives more grace. Salvation is the entry point of grace. It is important that we keep pressing in and desiring for more as we grow in the knowledge of the Living Word, Jesus Christ. Beloved, grace will attend to you by knowledge; you cannot receive the grace of God more than the knowledge of God that you have. The plan of God for you is to keep increasing in grace as you increase in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I increase in the knowledge of Christ; I increase in the experiential knowledge of grace. Amen.
