January 9: God Gives More Grace

James 4:6

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble

Romans 6:1

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

The Word tells us very unambiguously in the opening verse “more grace”. There is room for more grace in Christ. In God, there are realms, there are dimensions and there are levels. That is why it does not matter the level you are at the moment, you can actually go higher, and you can increase in grace. The next level after the salvation level of the experience of grace is the level called the “more”. James 4:6 says God gives more grace. God is the God of all grace (1 Peter 5:10), and His Spirit is the Spirit of grace (Hebrews 10:29). The Spirit of grace is the same Spirit of the God of all grace, and He gives more grace. Studying Romans 6:1 carefully, we are told that grace can abound. It says “…shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” Whatever level of grace you are at now, understand that you can walk in higher dimensions of grace. There are certain exploits that can only be possible at a particular level of grace. There are dimensions of grace that command certain levels of manifestation, and until you move up to such levels, you will not see certain manifestations.

At this point it is appropriate to ask this question. To whom does God give more grace? The opening verse tells us that He gives more grace to the humble but resists the proud. Who is the humble? The one who knows that he is not sufficient in himself, but that his sufficiency is of God. The humble is the one who trusts in the Lord absolutely. He has ceased from his own struggle; he is resting in the Lord. He no longer has confidence in the flesh. He realizes that God is Almighty, and that he is only strong in His Almightiness. The more you learn to trust in Him, the more you are carried by His grace. When you are weak, then you are strong; for His grace is made perfect in your weakness. Beloved, God wants you to move to a higher level of grace. Do not be satisfied with that current level you are operating at, be desirous for more. Faith, absolute trust in God, is your gateway into limitless dimensions of grace.

My Solid Front (Confession):

I declare that I am never complacent; I am desirous for more; I am moving to a higher level of grace In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
