The move of the spirit

June 9: Exercising Dominion

Mark 16:17-18

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Matthew 18:18-19

“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mat 18:19  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”

Walking in dominion is your birthright in Christ. You don’t have to struggle to do it. You only need to know who you are in Christ, what authority you have, and what it takes to make it happen. God made man in His image and after His likeness to exercise dominion over the earth. You are a king; you are royalty. The Word tells us in Revelation 1:6 and 5:10 that we are kings and we reign on earth. 1 Peter 2:9 tells us that we are a royal priesthood, which means we are both priesthood and royalty. Glory to God!

Kings rule by decrees. Where the word of a king is, there is authority; power. When you got born again, you came into royalty and became royalty. You are to reign with Christ Jesus, the King of kings, and the Lord of Lords. Hallelujah! You are not to stoop low to the beggarly elements of the world. You are to subdue principalities and powers. You are to reign over satan and all his cohorts. That’s your destiny. Our opening verse is the words of Jesus to the new creation man in Christ. It says these signs shall follow them that believe, and that refers to you! Amen! You are the believer Jesus is talking about. If you are born again, that’s you right there! Glory to God.

Note the Lord Jesus says that the exercise of dominion is done in His Name. Why? He won the victory for us. We are beneficiaries of His victory in the work of redemption that He wrought for us at Calvary. Again, you are to exercise authority in His Name, as His representative. The right to exercise authority is all yours under God; it’s been conferred on you by grace. You don’t wait for Jesus to exercise authority for you, no! You do it in His Name. Glory to God! You occupy and take charge in the Name of Jesus. Take authority over that foul spirit troubling your loved ones in His Name. Release the power of God in your favour for financial flows in His Name. Take authority over that blindfolding devil hindering your loved ones from getting born again. Go ahead and exercise dominion in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

My Solid Front (Confession): I declare that I have authority in the Name of Jesus Christ; therefore I exercise dominion over everything contrary to the will of God in my life and in the lives of my loved ones. Amen.

Further Meditation: Ephesians 2:1-6; Colossians 1:15-19.
