For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. .”
Boldness is the way to exact yourself on life. You cannot get out of life more than you demand of it. Boldness is an expression of confidence in God and in whom He has made you in Christ. When identity is expressed with confidence, one is said to be bold. When you know who you are and what you have in Christ, when you understand the rights and benefits that God has given you in Christ, and you express confidence in the exercise of these rights, you are said to be bold. Boldness is the expression of inner conviction in words and actions. Therefore a bold face is not necessarily an expression of a bold heart. True boldness is rooted in the heart; it is a child of conviction, not of reaction. Therefore heart knowledge, not head knowledge breeds confidence which in turn exudes boldness.
Our opening Scripture tells us that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. This is the very reason every believer in Christ ought to be bold. Being bold ought to be natural with the man in Christ. First, the righteous is as bold as a lion; and you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you have been made righteous or justified by faith in Christ Jesus. Therefore you ought to be bold. Second, the Spirit that is in you is that of boldness, the Spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. You have everything going well for you in Christ; therefore you ought to be bold.
Third, you have the living Word of God to meditate upon, and as you meditate upon the Word, your confidence in God is skyrocketed way above the roof; and then you can exude boldness from your heart. Lastly, don’t forget that our confidence is in the Lord; He is our confidence. Therefore trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your steps. Be not wise in your own eyes, trust in the Lord and depart from evil, and so it shall be health to your navel and marrow to your bones. Amen!
My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am bold, for God has not given me the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. God is my refuge and fortress; He has become my confidence and salvation; therefore I shall not be afraid. Hallelujah! Amen.
