March 12: You Are Blessed with Believing Abraham

Galatians 3:9

“So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”

Galatians 3:29

“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Transformation, encounter, blessing, impartation are always at the point of faith or believing. When we believe, we receive. What grace has given, faith takes. Abraham became blessed when he believed God. The promises of God did not impact on him until he believed them. When God called him to come out of his country and his relatives to a place that He would show him, he believed Him and stepped out in faith. Faith in God was Abraham’s turning point. At faith, he received the fulfilment of God’s promises made unto him. Indeed, when we believe, we receive.

Our opening Scripture reveals to us that everyone who is of faith is blessed with believing Abraham. Abraham is a template of faith and blessing to the whole world. Everyone who believes like he did, is blessed with him. Blessed with all God blessed him with. Genesis 15:6 tells us that God blessed Abraham with righteousness when he believed Him. It says “And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness”. In the same vein, everyone who believes in Jesus is justified or declared righteous by God. God gives the gift of righteousness on account of faith.

Beloved, it is to you according to your faith. Righteousness is a gift from God given unto them who believe in Jesus Christ as the risen Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us that God made Jesus Christ sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Faith is a persuasion of the heart that comes by the revelation of the Word, backed up with a corresponding action. When you believe in the risen Christ, you become a brand new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17); and your life becomes new, everything around you becomes new. You then begin to live out the new life; you begin to walk in newness of life. You can only walk in the newness of life when you have become a new creature. You bear the fruits of righteousness because you have become the righteousness of God in Christ.

My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am blessed with faithful Abraham; I walk in the fulness of the Christ life within me. I walk in the manifestation of the blessing of Abraham. Amen.

Further Meditation: Romans 4:1-9; Romans 4:24-25.
