March 14: Keep Your Heart with all Diligence

Proverbs 23:7

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”

Proverbs 4:20-22.

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

Your character takes its source from your mind. Our opening Scripture reveals that a man cannot be any different from how he thinks. His thoughts and thought process shape his character. Therefore, the place or importance of the mind cannot be down played. The mind forms the core transforming center of man. Therefore, the codes and building blocks of the personality are sourced in the mind. The transformation of man is by the renewing of the mind. The mind plays a central role in determining and transforming man’s personality. Since the mind shapes the personality, it is therefore important to take heed to the forces that shape the mind. One of the forces that shape the mind is thoughts. Another force is experience.

Romans 12:2 tells us to not conform to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. How? This is by giving heed to the Word; letting the Word renew the mind and bringing it into perfect alignment with God’s Word. In Psalms 23:1-3, the Word tells us that the Lord is our Shepherd; therefore we shall not want, and He makes us to lie down in green pastures, leads us beside the still waters, and He restores our soul. The restoration of the soul is also referred to as renewing the mind in Romans 12:2. In context, and in Christ, we are to let the forces of the Word of God shape our thoughts and experiences, which in turn will shape our mind. The supernatural codes or building blocks of your personality ought to come from the Word of God. The Word has become the feed from which our thoughts are fed and our experiences are shaped. Beloved, as you meditate on the Word and act upon it, your mind is renewed and your personality is shaped according to the Word, and you move from glory to glory; from grace to grace. Your personality reflects Christ in all His divers forms and many-sided dimensions. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly!

My Solid Front (Confession):

In the Name of Jesus, I declare that my mind is shaped by the Word, and my personality is daily built into the excellency of Christ’s glory. The supernatural codes and building blocks from the Word are shaping my personality. Amen.
