May 10: The Free Favours of God

Isaiah 61:1-2

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

2 Corinthians 6:2

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

The opening Scripture shows us that Jesus Christ our Lord was anointed to declare and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the year of jubilee. The Amplified version shows us in Luke 4:19 that the acceptable year of the Lord is one in which salvation and the free favours of God profusely abound to bring every man back into his inheritance. No matter what you’ve lost in time past, or for how long it has been lost, or how much you have lost, it makes no difference. Jubilee demands the expression of the free favours of God to return into your inheritance. Since the very time the Lord Jesus Christ began to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord until the catching up of the saints, it’s been the dispensation of jubilee for everyone that believes in Jesus as the risen Lord and Saviour. It is a dispensation of restoration; it is an era of jubilee. This is the unique proclamation or declaration the Lord Jesus is anointed to make, and everyone who was sent by Him to preach the Gospel. Hallelujah!!!

In 2 Corinthians 6:2, Paul the Apostle, by the Holy Ghost, spoke about the accepted time. He said, “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” He referred to the accepted time as the day of salvation, the day of succour or comfort, the day which the Lord hears us for all our prayers and desires. He was admonishing the Church at Corinth to respond to this set time. We are in the days of God’s awesome grace and glory. The days of God’s free favours are upon us. We are not to cower and shrink from God in shame and fear, no! We are meant to draw near now that Jesus Christ has paid the full price for our redemption. It is our appointed time and moment to enter into the fulfilment of all that the prophet has spoken about. The very moment the anointing came upon Jesus, and He began to proclaim the Gospel of the kingdom of God. That was the beginning of the dispensation of the free favours of God, and that dispensation is still on right now; the dispensing of God’s free favours is still on going. Why not receive yours right now? Go ahead and scream it out loud: “The free favours of God are mine in Christ; I am blessed” Go ahead and thank the Lord for His free favours upon you. Amen.

My Solid Front (Confession):

Thank You Heavenly Father because Your blessings and favours are upon me! I declare that my time of favour is come, therefore, I enjoy abundance of favour. Lost opportunities and resources are restored back to me in Jesus’ Name.
