“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].”
The Word of God is pregnant with grace. The spoken Word of God is grace loaded. Every time you hear and receive the Word, grace is deposited in and released to you. Grace shows up in your life when you receive the Word of God. Evidently, grace starts working and manifesting in and through you when you receive the Word of His grace through faith. In our opening scripture, Acts 20:32, the Apostle Paul committed the brethren at Ephesus to God and the Word of His grace, which is able to build up and minister to them their inheritance among all those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus. The Word of God’s grace is able to build us up, which means it has the power to edify, encourage and fortify us. We are built up by the Word. No man in Christ is permitted to be dwarfed. We have the Word of His grace to be built up, and reach the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Hallelujah! Furthermore, it tells us that the Word of God’s grace is our contact point to our inheritance in the community of saints. We receive our inheritance in Christ through the Word of His grace. We stand to be ultimately blessed by receiving the Word of God’s grace. That’s how we are built up and graced with inestimable inheritances in Christ Jesus.
How do we receive the Word of God’s grace? First, through the preached or taught Word, preached or taught by a Sent One. Romans 10:13-17 tells us that anyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved; then it says, how shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed, and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard; and how shall they hear without a preacher, and how shall they preach except they are sent? You must prayerfully and sensitively recognize God’s sent preacher or teacher to you. Not every teacher of the Word is sent to you. When your teacher is near, teaching you the Word, then you will hear a voice behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it; and you shall not turn this way or that way (Isaiah 30:20-21). Pray that God will lead you to a Church where your teacher, an anointed man of God that is sent of God to you, is waiting to speak into your life words of God’s grace. Words of the things which God prepared for you before the foundation of the world. And if you are already in a Church where God has planted you, stay there; don’t let anything or anyone uproot you from your appointed place.
My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I receive the Word of God’s grace from the mouth of my Pastor; I am enabled by the Spirit of God to recognize my God-sent preacher or teacher, and my God-sent word.
