“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God has restored man to glory in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. When Adam sinned and transgressed the Word of the Lord God in the Garden of Eden, he came short of glory, that is, he fell short of the glory of God, which means the glory of God is the standard of living for man. It’s like falling short of the cut-off mark for admission to study a course in the University, which means ‘admission denied’. Sin caused man to be denied admission into living in the glory of God. Man had been living in the glory of God before the fall. Man was made in the image of the glory of God to reflect the same in all ramifications (Genesis 1:26). The glory of God is not smoke on someone’s head or in the cloud. It may manifest as such, but in essence, it is the divine life made manifest in its full power and excellence. It is the quality of life of the God order. The glory of God is the divine life made manifest; it is eternal life; it is life as God possesses it and lives it. This was what man came short of at the fall, by transgression. Man fell from the ability to live like God unto inability or weakness to live like Him. But thank God for restoration to glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. In the first Adam we came short of the glory of God, but in the second and last, the Lord Jesus Christ, we are restored to glory – the dignity of the excellent life of divinity in humanity. Hallelujah!
The Word tells us according to 2 Corinthians 3:18, that as we with unveiled face, behold the glory of God as it is in the face of Jesus Christ, it says we are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. We go from glory to glory in Christ until we all reach the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, who is the fulness of the glory of God. Now, you have to learn the Word, and set your gaze on the perfect image of the glory of God, which is Christ Jesus; and as you do, you are changed from glory to glory into the fulness of that image. That’s what the Christ walk of faith is all about.
My Solid Front (Confession):Heavenly Father, I thank You because I have been restored to glory in Christ. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am walking in the glory of the Lord; I reflect the dignity and excellence of the divine life as and like the Lord Jesus lived it when He walked the face of the earth. Amen.
