“Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”
“For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these; that ye may marvel.”
John 5:20 “For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these; that ye may marvel.”
The channel through which God reveals things to us is His love for us at work in us, and that love producing corresponding and active love for Him in us. ‘Agape’ simply means the God kind of love. Beloved, it is through God’s love at work in your heart that you can see your way through the darkness of this world. The Word tells us in Isaiah 60:2 that in the last days, darkness shall cover the earth, and deep or gross darkness shall cover the people; but the Lord will arise upon us and His glory shall be seen upon us. Darkness is out there in the world, but the Lord is our light in Christ; the love of God enlightens our heart to see as God sees and walk as He does. It is in our walk of love that our eyes of understanding are enlightened to know the hope of God’s calling for us, and the exceeding greatness of His power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from death. Amazing and extraordinary capacity is in love to give light and spiritual understanding.
1 John 2:9-10 tells us “He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves
his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.” Love power is light power; walking in love is walking in the light. In our opening Scripture, the Lord tells us, “For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these; that ye may marvel.” The Father loves the Son Jesus Christ and shows Him all things that He does. Amazing, isn’t it? The Father reveals all things that He does to the Son just because He loves Him.
Evidently, the Father God wants us to know that He loves us, and He wants the world to know that His love for us is the same as His love for the Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:23). As we believe, drink in and respond to God’s love for us, we walk in the light of divine revelation, to see all things that the Father is doing, and as we act out what we see, the world will marvel at the wonders that are wrought by our hands. God’s love is a divine channel of communication with us which we have to hold very dearly to our heart; for through the love of God, we see what the Lord is showing us and we can touch His heart in intimate communication. Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession): I declare in the Name of Jesus, that I believe in the love of God at all times; therefore it is easy for me to receive revelation from Him. Through the love of God, I declare that I see my way through life. Amen.
