“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
We don’t have a faith problem in Christ. We were born with faith in Christ; we were born with the capacity to believe God, in Christ. Our opening Scripture tells us that we all in Christ, with open (unveiled) face, we behold as in a mirror the glory of God. In the Old Covenant, when Moses or the Law is read, there is a veil on their face preventing them from seeing the glory of God. The Law veiled them from seeing the glory of God because of the weakness of the sin nature that they all partook of. But in the New Covenant in Christ, the Word tells us that the veil has been done away with.
Christ is the doing away of that veil; He is the end of the law of carnal commandments, and the beginning of the law of the Spirit of life which is after the power of an endless life (Hebrews 7:16). Everyone in Christ can believe God because we can see through the mirror of God’s Word the glory of God, owing to the fact that the veil that obstructs vision has been done away with. Glory be to God! Therefore our prayer ought not to be that the veil be removed to see the glory of God, but that our eyes be illuminated with the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, as it is in the face of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:17-19).
Now that the veil obstructing us from seeing the glory of God has been removed, it is time to feed upon God’s Word voraciously, knowing that there is a new and living way consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh. We can draw near now! We can draw near to the Father with a true and a sincere heart, in full assurance of faith, because our conscience has been purged with the blood of Jesus, and our bodies washed with pure water (Hebrews 10:19-22).
My Solid Front (Confession): I declare that as a child of God, I do not have a faith problem. The realm to which I was born in Christ is the realm of faith; therefore I can respond to God’s Word without struggles. The veil has been done away with in Christ, and I am in Him. Amen.
