The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom

September 7: Be Secure in God’s Love

1 John 5:14-15

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

1 John 4:18

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

There is absolutely no need to be envious of anyone because of what they have; there is nothing which your heavenly Father cannot give you. Whatever God has done for one, He will do for another under the same circumstances; He is no respecter of persons. You need to be secure in God’s love for you. If you think that God loves someone more that He loves you, then think again this way: Since God is no respecter of persons, is there anything He has done for that person that He cannot do for you? Is God’s ability limited to some selected few and cannot be extended to all? Is it in vain that God has said He is no respecter of persons and that He is rich unto all that call upon His Name, for there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentiles? That the timing of the manifestation of your prayers is behind your neighbour’s does not mean that God loves them more than you. You must begin to take solace and security in God’s love for you.

1 Peter 5:7 tells us that God is mindful of you; His mind is full of you. Guess who He is thinking about right now? You, of course! God has loved you with an everlasting love and will not repent. He has inscribed you in the palms of
His hands and your wall or defence is continually before Him. Do not let the enemy pollute your mind and make your vision of God blurry by making you doubt God’s love. Instead, let God’s perfected love in you cast out every fear of the future and doubt as to His love for you.

Beloved, if you will be bold in your Father’s love and will make your requests to Him in prayers, believing that He has answered you and giving thanks unto Him, you will be so blessed than you can ever imagine. Today, wrap your arms around yourself and profess loudly God’s love for you. Be secure in God’s love; talk to yourself in His love. Deepen your roots in God’s love and He will show you visions of His plan for your life.

My Solid Front (Confession): I declare in the Name of Jesus, that I am secure in my Father’s love for me. I refuse to walk in fear or in envy of anyone; rather I walk with all boldness and confidence in Him. Amen.

Further Meditation: Luke 12:32; Hebrews 13:5.
