February 03: Walking with God

Genesis 5:24

“And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”

Hebrews 11:5-6.

V: 5 By faith Enoch was translated so as not to see death, and he was not found, because God had translated him; for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
V: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

One thing is the most crucial of all: intimacy with God. God made man primarily for fellowship. God’s delight is in you, and His tabernacle is with you. He loves to fellowship with you, share with you and commune with you in deep things and in ageless secrets of old. He wants to share His heart with you. He wants to begin the month with you on the note of His goodness and faithfulness. He loves you so much that He cannot hide it. You are the delight of His love heart. You thrill Him always. He desires to have you blend in eternity with His glory. In essence, He wants you to walk with Him, like Enoch did and like Abraham did. You can and you will, for you were cut out for this. You were made to have deep intimacy with God forever!

God made man in His image and after His likeness (Genesis 1:26). He made you with the capacity to fellowship with Him. 1 John 1:3 tells us that our fellowship is with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. What an honour and a privilege bestowed on us! We are so highly honoured to be called unto fellowship with God. Therefore, you ought to have a personal walk with God. How? By faith. Enoch walked with God by faith (Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5-6). How? Faith is hearing, receiving and acting on the Word. You ought to hear, receive and act upon the Word daily. This is the life unto which God has called you. Taking steps on a daily basis in the Word is living the life of faith. Faith keeps steps with God; it is only by faith that we can walk with God. As you encounter the Word of God, don’t despise it, receive it with joy and meekness of heart. Walk in the light of God’s Word revealed unto you, daily. Make the most of your divine moments of encounter with God; seize them!

My Solid Front (Confession):

In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I seize my moments of divine encounters with God. I make the most of the light of the Word that the Lord has revealed unto me. I take steps in the direction of God’s light daily, in Jesus’ Name! Amen.
