The Word is Your Inheritance (2)

Psalms 16:5-6

“The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.”

Psalms 27:1

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

The opening Scripture tells us that “the lines are fallen unto me in pleasant place”. What lines? The lines of God’s Word; the lines of Divine survey are fallen unto me in pleasant places, it says “Yea, I have a goodly heritage”. Did you know what lines by which we ought to go? The Bible speaks of “rightly dividing the word of truth”. Your inheritance is allocated to you, through the ministry of the Word of God. And that’s the reason why when you come to Church, you open your heart to receive God’s Word because your Pastor is doing more than speaking; he or she is actually allocating your inheritance to you through the spoken Word; you are receiving your inheritance for life and for godliness.

Everything that God has earmarked for you with your name on it is given to you through the spoken word and so beloved, settle down with the Word of God today and receive all that God has prepared for you. The Word of God has been given to you to show what belongs to you in Christ, and as you receive the Word of God today, your inheritance is allocated to you. Receive God’s Word with readiness; go to church with the desire to receive the Word of God. Church is a place of allocation of inheritances, it is given to you through the ministry of the Word of God.

Beloved, let your attitude to God’s Word change today. Receive God’s Word with seriousness. Receive God’s Word with hunger and receive the fullness of what God has for you.

My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of Jesus, I declare that my portion of inheritance is established, because the Lord is the portion of my inheritance; my portion in life is blessed and I have a goodly heritage. Amen.

Further Meditation: 2 Chronicles 20:20; Genesis 15:1-2.
