As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel
Ministering to the Lord is a biblical term used to connote giving worship, or service, or thanksgiving unto the Lord. When we minister to the Lord, we ascribe unto God the glory which is due to His Name. It must be noted here that there is no praise nor blessing that we may ascribe to the Lord that will ever be greater than His glorious Name (Nehemiah 9:5). Ministering to the Lord is not making God more than He is. No, no one can. God is infinitely bigger and greater than all. Rather, it is acknowledging that God is God and as such, He is worthy of all our praise and glory. It means to acknowledge God’s worth in truth and verity. To be able to minister unto the Lord effectively, you need to have a personal revelation of Him. So, you can only truly acknowledge Him for who He is based on the personal revelation of Him that you have caught. You cannot worship God beyond your personal revelation of Him. Therefore, anytime you start to minister to the Lord from the standpoint of the revelation of God in your heart, you offer quality worship and praise to His Holy Name; and as you acknowledge God as God, He will reveal Himself to you as God. That’s what worship is all about; that’s the goal of worship. Through worship, God is honoured and He is revealed to us.
Psalms 22:3 says “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”God dwells in the praises of His people; He is made manifest in the praises or worship of His people. God is infinite worth; there is no end to His worth. There is no praise that you can give God that can ever be above His worth. The glorious Name of the Lord is exalted above all blessing and praise. So, when we praise God, we must do it humbly and greatly; for the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. When you worship God, the cloud of glory fills your life, your situation and circumstance, your career, your business, your ministry and all that pertains to you. Understand that as you praise God, irrespective of what might have gone wrong, God will bring His Word to pass in your life. As you minister to the Lord, He makes all things right for you and causes His will to be established in your life.
My Solid Front (Confession):
Thank You Heavenly Father, for the privilege to minister to You, offering You quality praise, glory and adoration. Thank You for the release of the cloud of glory upon all that pertains to me as I worship You. I declare that the revelation of God in my heart becomes clearer by the day and my response is endless worship in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
