Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
The Lord Jesus Christ is the High Priest of our profession or confession (Hebrews 3:1). The Lord Jesus our High Priest receives our confession of faith and ministers it to the Father. In light of the ministry of our High Priest, we are to be careful we are always saying the right things; we ought to be thoughtful that we are confessing the Word, for God is going to do unto us as we have rehearsed before Him. When we make our confession of faith, we have given our High Priest something to work with; for the Lord Christ is the High Priest of our confession. As a priest of the Most High God, you must be conscious of the power of words. In priesthood, words matter. Actually, when it comes to engaging the High Priesthood of the Lord Christ, understand that we deal in words. Our confession is important at all times. When you confess the Word, the Lord High Priest ministers the value of that Word to you in physical terms. You will have what you say by the ministry of the High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. So, we are to preserve truth and grace always in our lips as priests. Malachi 2:7 tells us that the lips of priests ought to keep knowledge and people are to seek the law at their mouths. As a priest of the Most High God, you ought to understand three things: Your authority as a priest, the power of words, and good use of words.
Confession is faith’s way of engaging the ministry of our High Priest, Christ Jesus. Whatever He hears you say, that’s what He ministers to the Father. However, if you say wrong things, He is faithful and holy, He will not minister such things to the Father. If you are saying wrong things, you are not empowering or engaging the ministry of your High Priest to minister unto the Father on your behalf. So, it is important you say the right things. You speak the language of God; you speak the Word, and that is what God is going to work with. He works with words. Words are instruments or tools in the hands of God to help us, to change our lives and to effect changes in the lives of others. So, you must say the right thing in line with the Word of God. The children of Israel learnt this in the wilderness the hard way. They confessed the wrong thing and sadly, it happened to them. They abused their privilege of utterance. Listen, it is a privilege to be able to speak at will. It is a privilege to be able to coin words at will. The choice of words and speech is a blessing from the Lord. Make sure to use it well. Your words are powerful; don’t engage the destroyer with the words of your mouth, rather, engage your High Priest who loves you, died for your sins, and is willing to help you.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am wise in the use of words as I engage the ministry of my High Priest, Christ Jesus, effectively.
