Soul-winning is an occupation where you don’t need any special registration or qualification, other than being born again, to enter into it. God has committed to every child of His in Christ, the ministry of reconciliation. It’s your ministry! Your ministry is to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people out there and get them saved. Soul-winning is not meant for Pastors and Evangelists alone, it is your work as a believer. Our opening verse tells us that God has reconciled the believer to Himself through Christ Jesus and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation, which means that every believer has received the ministry of reconciliation. It is your calling, ministry and responsibility to win souls to the Kingdom of God.
Pastors and Evangelists are meant to equip the saints, so they may do the work of ministry. That’s the job of saints, to win souls, draw the net, help people, bring them to God with a heavenly passion and seriousness. God has placed the urgency and responsibility to reach the world for Him on the Church, the Body of Believers, the Body of Christ. Don’t be too conscious of your status that you don’t tell people about Jesus. Promotion comes from the Lord, but God has not promoted you to be too big to do His work and to serve Him. When God calls to service, you must respond, your status notwithstanding. God is calling you to soul winning. This call is of utmost importance and urgency. In fact, you ought to be more serious with winning souls than you do anything else. You have the Word of reconciliation already. Use it! Swing into action today, for the fields are ripe already. Soul-winning is serious business, and we ought to give ourselves to it. There ought to be a big passion and compassion for souls that make you restless until you have told at least somebody about Jesus daily. Cry out to God today for the passion for souls to consume you. Let your heart burn with love to see people saved. Stand up and work the field of souls!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I work the field of souls daily. My heart longs and desires to see people saved and turned from their wicked ways. I am a soul winner and I owe nobody an apology for that!
Psalms 69:9; Mark 16:15.
