In life most people are like wild land, undeveloped and untrained. They have vast resources good enough to put them on top in life, but those resources are still undeveloped. They have untapped, unharnessed, unutilized resources. They are rich in potentials but very poor in discipline and training, so their resources are undeveloped. What is needed to develop raw and wild resources is hard work, not work on impulse but work on principle. We need to drive ourselves until we have developed the rich resources within us. If we don’t drive ourselves and let others drive us, it may seem as if they mean to enslave us. But if you are the one driving yourself towards your goal, you’ll never accommodate thoughts of slavery. The time to drive yourself towards your God-given goal is now! Develop a healthy and rich work ethics that drives without pity for laziness or mediocrity.
Make everything about your life swing in line with the one great objective of your life. Live and gravitate towards one thing. Let your life be about one thing, for it is only meant to be about one thing. Paul said, this one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, reaching forth to those things which are before; I press forward toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14). Discover what your life is about and make every day contribute towards making your purpose a reality. Form habits of study, hard work and industry. Develop the habit of concentration, strict meditative and strategic thinking. Think through things before embarking on carrying them out. Pre-empt every step before making a move. Learn to save the moments. Drive your mind, or else life will drive you. Choose your direction and destination thoughtfully and carefully, then swing into action as if that’s all that matters. Be exact with yourself. Run your life on a prescribed schedule. Be judicious in the use of time. Remember, wasting time is wasting the thing that makes your life worthwhile. Stop counting time; make time count!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION)
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that my times are in God’s hands and I make the most of my life by the wisdom of God at work in me. I walk circumspectly, redeeming the time; for the days are evil. My resources are developed unto productivity and profit in Jesus’ Name! Amen.
