Have you ever been in a situation where you believe that you are serving God but your service unto God isn’t paying off? Have you ever felt like God is not looking in your direction, though you are praying and serving Him? Abraham was there and felt that way. God appeared to Him assuring him that He is his shield and exceedingly great reward, and then Abraham goes: “Lord, will you not give me a son?” Abraham was worried about his situation of not being able to have children. What did God do? God never comforts us in anxiety or worry; He comforts us by calling us out of anxiety into faith. Quickly, God tells him to look at the sky if can number the stars up there. Then He says to Abraham: “So, shall your seed (children) be”. What was Abraham’s response to God’s comfort of faith, calling him out of his fears and anxiety? Abraham chooses to believe God and God counts that faith for or as righteousness. How then does God count faith? He counts faith in Him as righteousness. That’s how God counts faith. Every faith reposed in God on account of His Word is counted as or for righteousness. The question is: How does righteousness apply to being fruitful or having children?
When God counts faith in Him for righteousness about whatever He has spoken to you, you are justified from everything that may stand in your way to realizing that Word. When Abraham believed God’s Word that his seed would be as numerous and elevated as the stars of heaven, God justified him to be the father of many nations. The justification or righteousness to have God’s Word come to pass in our lives comes by faith in God. Whatever you have believed God for, you are justified to have God perform or bring it to pass for you. You are disqualified from fulfilment of God’s promises to you when you disbelieve God. Faith in the Word is justification or righteousness to have God perform the Word in your life. Faith in God is your credit or worthiness to see the fulfilment of God’s promise to you. God counts faith as righteousness, for blessed is she that believed, there shall be a performance of those things that were told her from the Lord (Luke 1:45). The right or justification you give God to perform His Word in your life is faith in Him; faith in His Word.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am of faith, and that faith in God is my righteousness or justification before God to have all His promises come to pass in my life; therefore, I choose to believe God, and not my situation. I refuse to fear or doubt. The Word of God is my reality! Amen.
