Prayer is a blessed privilege that God has given to us in Christ; it is a blessed call to come fellowship with God and stay in fellowship with Him. You cannot turn down prayer offer. It is too juicy and profiting to despise. You don’t want to let someone else take that offer from you. It is a blessed access to the endless riches and treasures of God prepared for us in Christ Jesus. God has called us to come and partake of everything that He is and has through the blessed privilege of prayer. What a blessing we have in Christ to pray to the Almighty God with whom there is no impossibility. He has called us to tie up with Him and use His ability and wisdom to help dying humanity through prayer. We are omnipotent with His omnipotence; we are omniscient with His omniscience. We are powerful with His power. We are blessed to partake of the divine nature through prayer, based on His great and exceedingly precious promises. Hallelujah! If you knew what prayer has to offer, you wouldn’t turn it down. You would make the most of it every day. You would use it to procure blessings many enough to reach everyone on earth daily. You would raise the bar of your expectation to break the bars of iron holding people from calling upon the Name of the Lord. What an invaluable blessing we have, bestowed upon us in the blessed and incomparable privilege of prayer!
Luke 18:1 reveals the import of the parable the Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples. It was to one end: People ought always to pray, and not to faint. There was an unjust judge who feared no man, nor revered God. There was a widow who kept coming to him to avenge her of her enemies, and because of her importunity, he did. Of course, God is not like the unjust judge. But her importunity made him do it. How much more God, the just Judge of all the earth. Evidently, God will answer those who call upon Him day and night for His mercy and justice, which provided the jurisdiction to pray in the first place. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing, which means always. God’s mercy and justice will not allow for your prayers to go unanswered. Don’t stop calling upon Him. There is no doubt that He answers prayers. It is His uttermost delight to bestow answers on us abundantly. So, keep calling upon Him. Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am taught of the Lord and energized by Him to pray without ceasing. I am greatly helped by the Holy Spirit to pray and always do. Amen.
