Faith is expressed confidence in God and has capacity to grow. Our faith in Christ can grow. Paul wrote to the Church in Thessalonica, he said “We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly…” (2 Thessalonians 1:3). This means that faith can grow, and it can grow exceedingly. You can grow your faith and transit from faith to faith, that is, from one level of faith to a higher level of faith. Romans 1:17 tells us that in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, which means beginning with faith and concluding with faith. We are saved by grace through faith, and that faith is the gift of God that is in seed form sown into our hearts when we first heard the Gospel of our salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). That faith that came into our spirit at salvation is known as the saving faith. That faith is the seed faith with capacity to grow. When the saving faith is fed on the Word daily and exercised by acting on the Word or practicing the Word daily, there is no end to its growth and development. It keeps growing from one level to a higher level. The truth is, the capacity of faith to grow is endless, so long as you keep feeding on the Word and practicing the Word.
Father Abraham is an example of a man who walked with God and grew his faith, from faith to faith. The reality of moving from faith to faith was clearly demonstrated by Father Abraham. The Bible tells us that he moved from faith, to not being weak in faith, to constant faith (not staggering in faith), to being strong in faith and finally to being fully persuaded (being rounded in faith). Romans 4:19-21 tells us, “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” In other words, his faith grew. You too can experience the same. You too can move from faith to full persuasion; rounded, robust, nothing missing and nothing wanting level of faith. This is God’s will for you. Make a quality resolve that you are going to grow in faith daily. The Lord is your help in Jesus’ Name!
My Solid Front (Confession):
I declare that I give myself to the Word of God, which is the word of faith, therefore I go from faith to faith, and I go from accomplishments to accomplishments. I declare that my faith is growing exceedingly in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
