Jesus is the living Word; He is the Father’s message to the world. Everything the Father has to say to the world, He has already said through His Son Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:1-2). If you have not heard Jesus Christ, you have not heard the Father. Receiving Jesus Christ is receiving the free gift of Father God to us. Everyone who receives the Gospel of Jesus Christ becomes a child of God, and such a person is born anew, born afresh, and a new life begins. The old life is gone forever. This is the Gospel of power, and of grace, and of a new creation. When the Gospel is preached and people believe it, it saves, heals, changes and lifts them. Indeed, the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes it. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is powerful.
The preaching of the Gospel is very important because people cannot get saved without hearing the Gospel. It is the Gospel that saves, not the people’s labour or effort. Why must we preach the Gospel? We must preach the Gospel because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). To believe God’s Word, we have to hear it. The hearing of God’s Word produces faith, the conviction in our hearts, that God is true and faithful to perform what He has promised. When we believe the Word of God and act on it, salvation is the result. So, people get saved when they hear the Word, believe it and act on it. The Holy Spirit goes to work, and He recreates them. They are born anew by the washing and regeneration of the Holy Ghost. How does He give birth to people? Little wonder when Jesus came, soul-winning became His meat and satisfaction; His meat was to do the will of the Father regarding soul winning and to finish His work. Beloved, refuse to be ashamed of the Gospel. Preach the gospel in season and out of season; for it is the power of God unto salvation. Let soul-winning be your meat and satisfaction every day.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. I preach the Gospel in season and out of season in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
