And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Our position in Christ ought to inform our walk in Him. When we understand where we stand in Christ, then we can walk in that realm as we ought to. Today’s opening verse tells us that when Christ Jesus was raised from death, God also raised us up together with Him, and made us sit together with Him in heavenly places in union with Christ Jesus. What that means is that by identification with Christ through faith, His resurrection is our resurrection, and His ascension is our ascension. When Christ was crucified, we were crucified with Him, when He died, we died with Him; when He was buried, we were buried with Him, and when He rose from death, we rose with Him; when He ascended on high and sat at the right hand of God far above all principality and power and might and dominion, we ascended and sat together with Him. That’s our position of authority. We just must see that we are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places, far above all powers and authorities of darkness. When we see this by faith, then our walk will be that of dominion over Satan, not of fear of Satan.
Our walk in Christ is that of faith. Faith is believing and acting on the Word. When we learn the Word about our position of authority and influence with Christ, our walk then is to live out, express, manifest and shine forth who we are in Him regarding the position we occupy in Him. The Word educates us about our position of dominion with Christ, and by the power of the Spirit of God, we walk in the light of what the Word says about us. In understanding the perfect marriage between our position in Christ and our walk in Him, we must understand the perfect interplay between the Word and the Spirit. Whatever the Word reveals to us, the Spirit empowers us to walk and live in it. The Word shows us the glory of God, the Spirit changes us into the image of that glory (2 Corinthians 3:18). The key therefore is: Learn the Word about your position in Christ and get filled with the Spirit of God to walk in it. Hallelujah!!!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION)
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am rightly instructed to walk in the light of the Word as to my position and walk in Christ. I give myself to the Word and I am transformed by the Spirit of God, from glory to glory. Amen.
